Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1
Antananarivo → Andasibe (140 km, ~4h)
Highlights: Morning pickup from your hotel in Tana and departure towards the eastern rainforest through beautiful landscapes. En route, visit Peyrieras Reserve — brilliantly coloured chameleons, geckos, snakes and crocodiles, a perfect introduction to the island's biodiversity. Reach Andasibe by afternoon and head to Vakona Private Reserve and its famous 'Lemur Island', where you meet Madagascar's most famous primates up close. As night falls, a guided night walk in the VOIMMA Reserve reveals mouse lemurs and tree frogs. Overnight at Relais de Mantadia or Mantadia Lodge.
Day 2
Analamazaotra Park → return to Antananarivo
Highlights: After breakfast, a guided trek in Analamazaotra Special Reserve, home to the Indri, the world's largest lemur — observe these extraordinary primates in their natural habitat, their echoing calls resonating through the misty forest. Then visit Andasibe Village to experience daily life and traditions, from craftsmanship to local markets. Enjoy lunch before the drive back to Antananarivo.
