Fly to Morondava and visit Kirindy Reserve, home to the elusive fossa. Cross rugged terrain to Bekopaka to marvel at the UNESCO-listed Tsingy de Bemaraha, with its limestone pinnacles, caves and suspension bridges. Witness the legendary sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs before returning to Antananarivo and continuing to the Andasibe rainforest to trek among Indri lemurs and explore nocturnal wildlife on guided night walks.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Antananarivo (TNR)
Highlights: Our agent greets you at the airport and helps with anything you need — SIM card, currency exchange — before transferring you to your hotel. Overnight at Sakamanga Hotel.
Day 2
Antananarivo → Morondava → Kirindy
Highlights: Fly to Morondava, meet your driver and head into town for lunch, then on to Kirindy Reserve with a photo stop at the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs. After check-in, a night walk to spot fat-tailed dwarf lemurs and grey mouse lemurs. Overnight at Relais du Kirindy.
Day 3
Kirindy → Belo → Bekopaka (180 km, 7h)
Highlights: Morning visit of Kirindy Reserve, famous for the fossa, Madagascar's largest predator; by day, watch Verreaux's sifakas and red-fronted lemurs leap between the trees. Drive on through baobab forests and red earth, cross the Tsiribihina river by ferry to Belo for lunch, then four more hours on the mud road to Bekopaka. Overnight at Soleil des Tsingy.
Day 4
Grand Tsingy
Highlights: Drive to the start of the Grands Tsingy (17 km of bumpy track, 1–2h). The roughly 4-hour 'Andamozavakay' circuit is a slow-paced observational walk — no particular fitness required, but not ideal for those prone to vertigo. Explore secondary forest, caves (bring a headlamp), panoramic viewpoints and a suspension bridge, safely harnessed. Overnight at Soleil des Tsingy.
Day 5
Bekopaka → Morondava (200 km, 9h)
Highlights: Head back south by 4WD and ferry (about 9 hours). Pass the Sakalava tombs, known for their unusual paintings and carvings, and stop again at the Avenue of the Baobabs for a spectacular sunset — the perfect photo moment. Overnight in Morondava at Baobab Café Hotel.
Day 6
Morondava → Antananarivo (flight) → Andasibe
Highlights: Fly back to Antananarivo, then drive to Andasibe through scenic villages, golden grasslands and lush rice paddies, discovering colourful clay houses, local markets and authentic Malagasy culture. Overnight at Relais de Mantadia.
Day 7
Andasibe National Park
Highlights: Guided morning trek in Analamazaotra Reserve to find the Indri, the world's largest lemur, its calls echoing through the misty forest. In the afternoon, meet friendly lemurs on Lemur Island at Vakona and watch crocodiles from safe platforms. After dark, a guided night walk in VOIMMA reveals mouse lemurs and tree frogs. Overnight at Relais de Mantadia.
Day 8
Andasibe → Antananarivo (140 km, 4h)
Highlights: Drive back to Antananarivo past the Angavo mountains and lively market villages — great photo stops. On arrival, a guided city walk through vibrant streets and markets, ending at the hilltop Manjakamiadana, the former royal palace with panoramic views over the capital. Overnight at Sakamanga Hotel.
Day 9
International departure
Highlights: Your tour comes to an end. We arrange your transfer back to Ivato Airport. Safe travels, with cherished memories of Madagascar.
